- We sell nothing and share nothing with third parties. No ads, no data trading, no exceptions.
- You decide who sees what. Only the groups you add yourself to see your birthday. Your year of birth can stay private.
- Gone is gone. Delete your account and all your data disappears immediately and for good. No copies.
What we store▾
Only what Hoera needs to work: your name, your birthday (the year is optional), your email address and the color or emoji you picked. If you add children or private people, we store their name and birthday too. We also know which groups you are in, because that is the calendar.
We use one functional cookie to recognize you when you come back, and one to remember your language. No tracking cookies, no advertising networks.
What we use it for▾
To show your calendar to the groups you added yourself to, to send you the reminder emails you set up yourself, to prevent abuse and to improve Hoera. That is where it ends.
Who we share it with▾
Nobody. We do not sell your data and do not give it to advertisers or other companies.
To run Hoera we use three technical services that process data on our behalf, under strict agreements and only on our instructions: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, servers in the EU) and Resend (sending our emails). They may not do anything else with your data.
Who sees your birthday▾
Only the members of groups you (or your child) joined. There is no public profile and Hoera cannot be searched. People you added yourself are visible only to you. Children are visible only in the groups you choose as a parent.
How long we keep it▾
As long as you use Hoera. Delete your account (Settings, Your account) and we erase all your data from the database right away: your profile, your group memberships, your children, your favorites and your sign-in links.
Your rights▾
You can view, change and delete everything in the app, without forms or waiting. On top of that you have all the rights under the GDPR, such as the right to a copy of your data and the right to file a complaint with your data protection authority. Email us and we will help.
If something changes▾
Hoera grows, and sometimes the way it works changes. If that affects how we handle data, we update this page and announce important changes in advance in the app or by email. The date at the bottom always shows when this text was last changed. The promise at the top does not change.
